<br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-04- _ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION IDENTIFYING FINDINGS, APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN <br />AMENDMENT TO CHANGE A LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM CENTRAL RURAL <br />RESERVE (NON-MUSA) TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (MUSA) AND <br />AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE <br />METROPOLIT AN COUNCIL FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 22, 2008, the City of Ramsey received an application from Saint <br />Katharine Drexel Catholic Communities (the "Property Owner") requesting an amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan to change the future land use designation from Central Rural Reserve (non- <br />MUSA) to Low Density Residential (MUSA) for the following legally described property: <br /> <br />Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter except the west 185.0 feet thereof and except roads <br />subject to easement of record, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan approved in 2001 shows the Subject Property <br />designated land use as Central Rural Reserve; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property owner is requesting that the Subject Property designated land use <br />be changed to Low Density Residenti~l (MUSA) in order to obtain sewer and water services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property owner is seeking a conditional use permit to construct a church <br />within the R-1 Residential zoning district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on April 3, 2008, conducted a public <br />hearing, and recommended that the Ramsey City Council _ the Property Owner's request for <br />an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan.. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request for a land use designation change of <br />the Subject Property from Central Rural Reserve (non-MUSA) to Low Density Residential <br />(MUSA). . <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary <br />documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to <br />change the land use designation to Low Density Residential. <br /> <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification <br />of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: . <br /> <br />67 <br />
