Case /13: l~receive Proposal for Insuring Equitable and Orderly Park Planning <br /> afld Development <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities C °°rdinator Boos presented a map dividing the City into districts (defined as "park <br />districting'~) as idelineated by geographical barriers such as streams, major wetlands and <br />thorough~¢s cr by the distance to access a recreational resource. He stated this is being <br />introduced~tO tee Park and Recreation Commission to help formulate the 1993 Parks Capital <br />Improveme'~t PII m and begin the five-year parks plan. <br /> <br />Ways to p~ti2'e park development were discussed such as the amount of park development in the <br />district, the~.i~tttn al resources, demographics and the asset value. <br /> <br />Case #4: ;~ l~eview the Park and Recreation Commission Capital Improvements <br /> ~ P~rogram (C.I.P.) <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities (~oordinator Boos stated he has some lengthy visual aids for this case and due to <br />time constraints, !asked that it be tabled until the next meeting. <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br />Mayor Gill~ertsOn commented that this joint meeting was very helpful for the Council to be more <br />informed a~°ut Where park development is in the City. <br /> <br />Councilme/Pber Zimmerman complimented the Park and Recreation Commission on what a "good <br />group of Cgmm',~msioners'' they are. <br />CommissiOYter ~wokowski extended a thank you to the Council and also to City Administrator <br />Schroeder for their attendance and time. <br />ADJOUR~ME~NT <br /> <br /> Motion by iCo ~trgnissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Swokowski to adjourn the <br /> meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion earti,'ed, iVoting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Johnson, Swokowski, Cook, <br /> Florenfius, ~oo _l/in and Prall.
