<br />Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-01-026 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ENVIRONMENTAL <br />POLICY BOARD'S 2008 WORK PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The primary objective of the Environmental Policy Board is to review, <br />consider, initiate and recommend to City Council such policies, plans or projects that will <br />enhance and preserve the natural environment of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Environmental Policy Board's scope includes, but is not necessarily <br />limited to, matters of the preservation of the community forest, water quality, wetland <br />preservation, ground water protection, ecological preservation, control of soil erosion and air, <br />noise and light pollution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Environmental Policy Board is responsible for developing an annual <br />work plan subject to the approval of City Council. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby approves the 2008 Work Plan for the <br />Environmental Policy Board. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Strommen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Look <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Olson <br />
