<br />Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br />February 2008 <br /> <br />General Police Statistics and Hi2hli2hts <br /> <br />· Copper Thefts <br /> <br />In early February, the theft of copper wire (signal lines) from the railroad tracks in the <br />area of Sunfish lake Blvd was reported. Investigators retrieved records from scrap metal <br />dealers and developed a suspect based on the amount/type of metal turned in. Burlington <br />N orthem Railroad is assisting investigators, and as of this date, the incident is still under <br />investigation. <br /> <br />· Home Invasion <br /> <br />Officers responded to a reported home invasion in the 15300 block of Zuni Ct NW. <br />Investigators interviewed the parties and developed suspects. The suspects were known <br />to the victim(s). Search warrants were executed in Brooklyn Park, however, no evidence <br />was located. Investigators then were advised that the victims in this case were no longer <br />willing to cooperate with law enforcement. <br /> <br />· Check Forgery <br /> <br />On February 29th,.abusinessin the 7800 block of Sun wood-Dr NW reported two females <br />used a stolen check to pay for' services. Officers arrested the females on site for <br />possession of stolen checks, offering a forged check, and outstanding warrants. Inside a <br />backpack, in one of the female's possession, were several stolen checks, driver's licenses, <br />and beauty supplies. There is still a pending investigation on the stolen checks. <br /> <br />· Animal Control <br /> <br />Two dogs were impounded at the Anoka Containment Facility, and both were released to <br />their owners. <br /> <br />-10- <br /> <br />1 <br />
