TO:

City Council MemDers
Mayor
Director, Park and Recreation
City Manager

City of Ramsey

We, the undersigned, request that an outdoor ice rink De
estaDlishea and maintained in the River's Bend park during
the winter of 1992-93.

The River's Bend area is home to approximately 175
elementary aged students, and 60 secondary aged students.
As such, it is a neighborhood area which could easily
support the use of such a facility.

River's Bend Park is relatively flat, is easily accessed by
the neiGhDorhood, and appears to De underutilized in the
winter months. Other Ramsey ice facilities are too far for
neighDorhood families to use without travellinG by car.

Development of such a rink would not necessarily require
additional facilities. Snow removal and flooding of the Fink
would adequately serve the neeGs of the neighDorhood.

As taxpayers, we encourage the city of Ramsey to develop an
ice rink GurinG winter months in River's Bend Park.
