<br />Chairperson Johns advised that she was just talking adding those things for planning purposes. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated that they City and the Park and Recreation Commission <br />would continue to update as things go into the ground and then annually. He stated that they <br />might see minor changes in zoning as they are in the process of updating the comp plan and that <br />they would continue to work with the community to update the maps. He stated that over the <br />course of the next month or two they would be able to look at the things that have been brought <br />up and share them with the police department to get their ideas for funding. He advised that the <br />Sunfish Lake residents seemed to give just as much attention to getting the trail along Sunfish <br />Lake as they did to what actually goes into the park. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns stated that this was for planning purposes as well as for the comp plan. She <br />stated that they should keep an eye towards the future and not just what they have currently. <br /> <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Update on 2008 Youth Athletic Program <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that there has been the annual year in review, and preview <br />meting. He advised that a lot of the registration had not yet been completed and that they are <br />expecting more youth participants than ever. He stated that there has been a lot of effort put forth <br />by the association's volunteers and that it is going well. <br /> <br />April Agenda items: <br /> <br />. Consider funding for Youth First - Ramsey Neighborhood <br />. Consider funding for Anoka's Pool- Resident Rates <br />. Outdoor Meeting Schedule <br />. Complete Mapping Updates <br />. Approve Parks Portion of Comp Plan <br />. Community Center Update (Staff Input) <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock wondered if they were going to get numbers as far as how many residents <br />use the Anoka pool. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that they would get the same numbers that they usually do <br />with a new twist. He advised that the Youth First item would be an overview on the issue witha <br />presentation by the Assistant City Administrator. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock stated that as they get ready for the spring and summer seasons the <br />residents have again asked for a trail from the neighborhood north of Central Park. She advised <br />that there is also a road that dead ends into that neighborhood and questioned if they could mow <br />that area or put in a trail. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that they could mow that area and stated that a church is <br />beginning to explore a site plan for that property.
