Chairperson Johns advised that she was just talking adding those things for planning purposes. Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated that they City and the Park and Recreation Commission would continue to update as things go into the ground and then annually. He stated that they might see minor changes in zoning as they are in the process of updating the comp plan and that they would continue to work with the community to update the maps. He stated that over the course of the next month or two they would be able to look at the things that have been brought up and share them with the police department to get their ideas for funding. He advised that the Sunfish Lake residents seemed to give just as much attention to getting the trail along Sunfish Lake as they did to what actually goes into the park. Chairperson Johns stated that this was for planning purposes as well as for the comp plan. She stated that they should keep an eye towards the future and not just what they have currently. COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT Update on 2008 Youth Athletic Program Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that there has been the annual year in review, and preview meting. He advised that a lot of the registration had not yet been completed and that they are expecting more youth participants than ever. He stated that there has been a lot of effort put forth by the association's volunteers and that it is going well. April Agenda items: . Consider funding for Youth First - Ramsey Neighborhood . Community Center Update (Staff Input) Commissioner Shryock wondered if they were going to get numbers as far as how many residents use the Anoka pool. Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that they would get the same numbers that they usually do with a new twist. He advised that the Youth First item would be an overview on the issue witha presentation by the Assistant City Administrator. Commissioner Shryock stated that as they get ready for the spring and summer seasons the residents have again asked for a trail from the neighborhood north of Central Park. She advised that there is also a road that dead ends into that neighborhood and questioned if they could mow that area or put in a trail. Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that they could mow that area and stated that a church is beginning to explore a site plan for that property.
