<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-04-067 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM <br />DESIGNATIONS AND COLLECTOR ROAD SYSTEM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for <br />a system of arterial and collector thoroughfare; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid System <br />(MSAS) under Chapter 162 of the State Statutes which promotes the construction and <br />maintenance of such an arterial and collector system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to modify the designated <br />MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVIlv BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE ~F MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the following described MSAS segment be revoked from the system: Beginning at <br />the intersection of 163rd Lane and Cr 83; then east along 163 Lane to Alpaca Street; then <br />north along Alpaca Street to 1 66th Ave; then east along 1 66th Avenue to Variolite Street <br />and there terminating. This revoked segment being a distance of 0.72 miles. <br /> <br />2. That the following MSAS segments be added to the system: Beginning <br />at the intersection of 1 73rd Avenue and CSAH 83 (Armstrong <br />Boulevard); then east along 173rd Avenue to its intersection with <br />Variolite Street and there terminating. This added segment being a <br />distance of2.0 miles which has been turned backed from Anoka <br />County to the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />3. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified <br />copies of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration and <br />approval. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly. seconded by Councilmember <br />Strommen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 08-04-067 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
