Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #08-04-066 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ABATEMENT OF PID #28-32-25-21-0007 IN THE AMOUNT OF $776,447.31 THAT WAS CERTIFIED IN ERROR AND ASSESSING THE CORRECT PID #'S OF 28-32-25-21-0030 IN THE AMOUNT OF $315,625.83. AND PID # 28-32-25-21-0035 IN THE AMOUNT OF $460,821.48. WHEREAS, on February 22, 2005, the City levied assessments on the Ramsey Town Center project area with deferral until February 22, 2008; WHEREAS, after February 22, 2008, any remaining amount of unpaid assessments were considered to be delinquent and placed on the 2008 property taxes for collection; and WHEREAS, during the certification of the assessments to the County, an incorrect PID number was given; and WHEREAS, the County requires an application for abatement to be submitted and a resolution passed before the error can be corrected and the correct PID numbers charged; and WHEREAS, PID #28-32-25-21-0007 in the amount of $776,447.31 needs to be abated and the correct PID #s of 28-32-25-21-0030 in the amount of $315,625.83 and PID # 28-32-25- 21-0035 in the amount of $460,821.48 needs to be levied. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the abatement of PID #28-32-25-21- 0007 in the amount of $776,447.31 that was levied in error and levy the correct PID #s of 28-32-25-21-0030 for $315,625.83 and PID #28-32-25-21-0035 for $460,821.48. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Strommen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Jeffrey Councilmember Strommen Councilmember Dehen Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Look and the following voted against the same: None
