Background: <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING HIRING FREEZE <br />By Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br />FC# <br />At the March 25, 2008 City Council meeting, staff was directed to bring to the next Personnel <br />Committee the topic of a hiring freeze for discussion and then have the issue brought to a <br />Finance Committee for further discussion with respect to the potential impact on the 2009 <br />budget. <br />The 2009 budget process is in very preliminary stages, but an approximate estimate of the City's <br />proposed 2009 revenues, expenditures and tax capacity rate will be presented at Tuesday's <br />Finance Committee. <br />Funding Source: <br />None required.
