2. Home occupation proposals that propose to operate beyond the scope of the criteria will <br />continue to be processed through the Planning Commission and City Council. <br />3. All home occupations will be required to obtain a permit. This will provide the City with a <br />database of all home businesses; and it eliminates the enforcement issues raised when `low <br />profile' businesses that initially didn't need a home occupation permit expand into a more <br />intense use. <br />4. The 3 acre threshold required for a business in a garage or accessory building is removed. <br />5. The 3 acre threshold for non- resident employees is removed. <br />If adopted, City Staff would implement a new Home Occupation Permit form and policy for permits <br />issued administratively. The permits would be reviewed and issued by the Planning Division of the <br />Community Development Department. Prior to issuance, Planning would route the applications <br />through the Building Permits Division, Police, Fire, and Anoka County Environmental Services. <br />The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on April 3 regarding the proposed amendments <br />to the home occupation regulations.
