He advised that he would .like to do either a set of posters or something on the computer that
easily displays the natural resources inventory.
Environmental Coordinator Anderson questioned if Board Member Max received the
information that he had sent him.
Board Member Max advised that he did receive the information. He questioned if there were
any other ideas on what the display for the EPB should look like.
Board Member Stodola advised that he had six pages of notes from his research on water
conservation. He stated that he had a list of 10 ways that would save the most water and then
also broke it down by location in the home, such as the kitchen and bathroom. He stated that he
also went onto the City website and looked up the cost for water, but was not sure if the Board
would want the data translated into dollars and cents. He stated that he did have a lot of
information but did not get it to Environmental Coordinator Anderson in time for the meeting
tonight.
Environmental Coordinator Anderson advised that he could go print of the information or he
could email it to the Board and they could discuss it more at next month's meeting.
It was the consensus of the Board to receive the information by email and discuss the issue at the
next meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Board Member Bentz questioned what would need to be done to request a turkey crossing sign
on Armstrong Blvd., north of Central Park. He advised that there are a lot of turkeys that cross
in that area, and cars swerve off the road to miss them. He thought a sign would be helpful for
unaware motorists.
Environmental Coordinator Anderson advised that type of request would need to be brought
forth to the Public Works Department, and then to the Public Works Committee.
BOARD INPUT
Chairperson McDilda advised that on Saturday mornings around 9 a.m., he and a group of
friends, from the Ramsey group, get together at the Avant Garden, in Anoka, and have
discussions. He advised that anyone from the Board that was interested in joining the
conversation was welcome to come up there.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Board Member Sibilski and seconded by Board Member Stodola to adjourn the
meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
Environmental Policy Board / March 3, 2008
Page 7 of 8
