Background <br />PC CASE # <br />CONSIDER RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br />BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />By Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />Currently, there is one vacancy on the Economic Development Authority and one <br />vacancy on the Planning Commission. These positions were advertised in the Ramsey <br />Resident, the Anoka County Union, on the City's website and QCTV. Nine applicants <br />were interviewed for the two vacant seats. The interview panel consisted of two <br />members from the Personnel Committee, and the chair and vice chair of the Economic <br />Development Authority and the vice chair of the Planning Commission. <br />Recommendation <br />The recommendations of the interview panel are as follows: <br />EDA Appoint Mr. Wayne Skaff to a term expiring Dec. 31, 2011 <br />Planning Commission— Appoint Mr. Byran Rogers to a term expiring Dec. 31, 2010 <br />Funding Source <br />EDA and Planning Commission members receive a $25 per meeting stipend. The stipend <br />for these two vacancies is included in the 2008 General Fund Budget. <br />Committee Action <br />Make a motion recommending that the City Council appoint Mr. Skaff and Mr. Rogers to <br />the EDA and Planning Commission, respectively. <br />Reviewed By: <br />urtis G.
