Motion c ~affi~d.~ Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Beyer, Peterson and <br />Zimmerma~,, VOting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11:' p.ursuance of External Funding for Educational Programs and <br /> : Recreational Facility Development <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Boos presented some information regarding his proposal for L.C.M.R. <br />funding angl~aslC, gd for conceptual endorsement to submit this proposal. He stated the projects <br />intended fol:'fun~ting are maintaining and enhancing Minnesota's natural resources with emphasis <br />on new, ing0va~ve or accelerative projects including the areas of information and education, <br />recreation, W,ater~ wildlife, fisheries and plants. The estimated total amount available is $29 million <br />with project implementation occurring from July 1993 to June 1995. <br /> <br />Following a dis°Ussion regarding Mr. Boos' proposal, City Administrator Schroeder stated it is a <br />very interesting .idea and the City would like to explore it further. He added that this application <br />does not co~it:!the City to spending money. <br /> <br />Motion by C0un~ilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to authorize City S taft <br />to pursue L.C.M.R. funding. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Beyer, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman.; VOting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #12i: Option Agreement for Purchase of Property at the Intersection of <br /> COunty Road #116 and Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W. <br /> <br />City Admir~igtra?r Schroeder recommended that City Council table this case and direct Staff to <br />continue di~c't~sst~on or direct the Budget Committee to review it. <br /> <br />Motion by C°un~ilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to table this case until <br />Staff review~it flarther and brings it back to Council. <br /> <br />Motion car~:i~d. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin and <br />Zimmerman. VOting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #13: POlicy Regarding Use of City Vehicles <br /> <br />City Admirdstrator Schroeder stated that the issue of the use of City vehicles was discussed earlier <br />at the Budg~e.t C~mmittee meeting. The Budget Committee recommended that as of February 1, <br />1992, no City employees, unless previously granted approval, be allowed to take City cars home <br />unless it is statediin their employment contract with the City. <br /> <br />Motion by Cbuncilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to direct Staff to <br />draft a poli.e~ starting that as of February 1, 1992, no City employee, unless specifically granted <br />previous ap, P~roYal, will be allowed to take City vehicles home unless it is stated in their <br />employment Contract with the City. Unique or special circumstances will be handled on a case-by- <br />case basis. ' ; <br /> <br />Motion carried.
