CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The RamsCy City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 11, 1992 at the <br />Ramsey Mllfiicipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey. <br /> <br />Members P~0sent: Mayor James Gilbertson <br /> Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members A~SenC Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Project Manager James Gromberg <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor GilliertSon called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:31 p.m. <br />PUBLIC REA,RING <br />Mayor Gilbe/tson adjourned the regular City Council meeting at 7:31 p.m. in order to conduct the <br />following pUblic hearing: <br /> <br />1) Co~lsider Uses for 1992 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br /> Funds i <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:46 and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION TO FORMER COUNCILMEMBER RICHARD CICH <br />Mayor Gilb~t'tSon stated that Mr. Richard Cich had resigned from the City Council because of job <br />related de~ds On his time. He thanked Mr. Cich on behalf of the City and the Council for a job <br />well done arid presented him with a plaque of appreciation. <br /> <br />CITIZEN :INpuT: <br /> <br />Bob Lenius' Ga~bling Manager for Anoka Area Ice Arena, requested that the City ordinance <br />regarding cl~ai'itable gambling be amended in accordance with the State law which allows for more <br />than one gar~bling organization at a site. <br /> <br />City AdministratOr Schroeder stated that unless the City ordinance restricts it, the State law allows <br />up to four gaflabliag organizations in one premise; Ramsey's ordinance states only one charitable <br />gambling organization at a time at a premise. <br /> <br />City Attornoy Goodrich stated that this change would not require a public hearing. <br /> <br />City Council/February 11, 1992 <br /> Page 2 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
