<br />~ <br /> <br />Events <br /> <br />Looking for a Way to <br />Invest in Ramsey youth? <br /> <br />For two days in June, <br />144 second and third grade <br />children from the Anol(a <br />- Ramsey area will attend a <br />safety camp with presenta- <br />tions focusing on a variety <br />of safety topics. This camp <br />is made possible through <br />donations provided by local <br />residents and businesses <br />which helps l(eep registration <br />fees to a minimum, as well <br />as, provide scholarships to <br />at risl( youth. Additionally, <br />donations received are used <br />to hire presenters, provide <br />lunches, graduation awards, <br />and other miscellaneous <br />items needed for a successful <br />safety camp. <br />Donation checks <br /> <br />can be made out to the city <br />of Ramsey, and mailed to the <br />Ramsey Police Department, <br />Attn: Safety Camp, 7550 Sun- <br />wood Dr NW, Ramsey, MN <br />55303. Sponsors are listed on <br />camp brochures, the awards <br />program, the Ramsey city <br />website and any press releases <br />when applicable. On Tues- <br />day, August 5, <br />the entire nation <br />will be celebrat- <br />ing National Night Out. In <br />Ramsey, police officers, fire <br />fighters and city officials will <br />be out visiting local neigh- <br />borhoods parties. Many <br />neighborhoods host special <br />events such as block parties, <br />cool(outs, visits from the <br />police and fire department, <br />youth contests, and raffles. <br />Planning a NNO par- <br />ty is easy and fun to do! The <br />Lions are lmown worldwide for their service; hence <br />our motto "we serve". We are best known for our <br />efforts in improving sight and hearing; we support <br />the Lions Eye Banl( and the Lions Hearing Center; <br />both are located at the University of Minnesota <br />in Minneapolis. Locally, we take great pride in <br />delivering holiday food baskets to needy families in <br />Ramsey and Bums Township. <br />Our upcoming events include the Nowthen <br />Tractor Pull and Swap Meet on May 10, Riverfest <br />Festival on July 12, Gamefair parl(ing on August 8- <br />10, and Ramsey Happy Day's on September 13.
