<br />CASE #1 <br /> <br />SUNFISH LAKE PARK - APPROVE PRELIMINARY PLAN <br />By: Mark Riverblood, Parks Supervisor <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The purpose of this case is to refine the various concepts discussed by the Commission and the <br />input received from area residents. City Council was advised of the park planning that has <br />occurred at their work session on April 22nd, 2008. At that time, the consensus of Council was <br />that the planning to date for the park was generally heading in the right direction. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />At the Commission's April meeting, three generalized concepts were reviewed which included <br />all of the public and Commission's initial planning comments. Those three versions are <br />attached. For May's meeting, the various iterations will be refined into one concept plan for <br />discussion. <br /> <br />Consistent with past years, the Commission has invited City Council to a joint meeting on June <br />12th, 2008, to discuss various topics including capital improvements. .In terms of Sunfish Lake <br />Park's development schedule, it would seem prudent to include this on that agenda. Costs for the <br />preferred park design that emerges from May's meeting will be assigned to the proposed <br />improvements before June's joint meeting.
