Mayors' PrayerB,reakfas~ was B.B~A.!

B.B.A. was the theme for the 14th Annual
Mayors' Prayer Breakfa~t. For'those of
, you who weren't able, to attend-B,B.A.
stands for "Bea'lItiful, )rilli~nt, and
Amazing!" Not only do all kids need to
'hear they are B.B.A., but they need to
hear that they ~re loved. Many children,
don't hear those words very often: What
a difference it can make in their lives I

Approximately 320 guests came to hear
our guest speaker Neil' Eerdmans. His
message was'agreat reminder of just
how wonderful the youth in our lives and
comm~nity are. Neil's passion and
'enthusiasm energized us and gave us a
new perspective our roles in the lives of
children.
Ramsey Ice Skating Party

, The Ramsey Parks Department has been
maintaining an ice skating rink next to the
neighborhood center and over MEA, we
had our first ice skating party. The City
provi<;ied a fire pit and we roasted hot
dogs arid marshmallows with the kids.

"ALL kids need to kiJow that
they are B.B.A. n
Thank you all for the generous donations
, that' we received that morning and
continue to get. Through the breakfast
'fundraising, we raised almo~t $10,000 to
support the work of YoUth First. Your
support is necessary and greatly
appreciated I

If you were not able to donate at the
Mayors' Prayer Breakfast please consider'
pledging a donation to Youth First at this
time. A contribution card is included in
our, newsletter. ' 'As our organization
reaches more kids in the three,
communities we need to look to the
community to support our programs.
Plea~e feel free to contact us with any
Cjuestions ,or to tour any of our sites~

Many of the youth do not have ice skates
and were happy, when we had a few
skates (any size and style)! Please
