<br />CASE # 4 <br /> <br />PARK DEDICATION UPDATE FOR SAINT KATHARINE DREXEL CATHOLIC <br />COMMUNITY <br />By: Leonard Linton, Civil Engineer II <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Communities has submitted a sketch plan for a minor <br />subdivision at the northwest corner of 16151 A venue NW and Variolite Street NW. They are <br />proposing to construct church and parking lot on the site. The minor plat is to develop 5 acres <br />of the site, the remainder will be an outlot for future development. <br /> <br />Observation: <br /> <br />This case was reviewed at the April 2008 Park and Recreation Commission meeting. The <br />applicant requested that land dedication be considered instead of cash. The Commission and <br />staff were in agreement about exploring the option for cash dedication to satisfy the Park <br />Dedication requirements. Staff met with the applicant to explore options for land dedication. <br />Staff prepared several sketches and is meeting with the applicant on May 2 to present the <br />options. The results of the meeting will be emailed to the Commissioners prior to the meeting. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends parkdedicatibn for Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Communities first phase <br />be satisfied according to the agreement reached at the May 2 meeting. Staff recommends trail <br />fees be satisfied in the same manner-. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend park dedication per the agreement with the Applicant.
