Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #08- 05 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #08 -04 SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL MSA STREETS <br />VARIOLITE ST & SUNWOOD DR) <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted February 12, 2008, a <br />feasibility study for the 2008 Street Maintenance Program has been prepared by Steve Jankowski, <br />City. Engineer, with reference to Improvement Project #08 -04 (Sealcoat and Crackfill of the streets in <br />MSA Streets - Variolite St & Sunwood Dr) and, <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #08 -02 -033 on February 12, 2008, <br />fixing a date for a Council public hearing on the proposed improvement. <br />WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was <br />given, and the hearing was held on March 11t 2008, at which time all persons desiring to be heard <br />were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has waited the required sixty (60) days following the public hearing. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed on May 13, 2008. <br />2) City Engineer Steve Jankowski is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. He <br />shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. <br />The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an <br />for bids upon the making of such improvement under such plans and <br />specifications. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />RESOLUTION #08- 05 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
