Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #08- 05 -XXX RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #08 -04 SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL MSA STREETS VARIOLITE ST & SUNWOOD DR) WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted February 12, 2008, a feasibility study for the 2008 Street Maintenance Program has been prepared by Steve Jankowski, City. Engineer, with reference to Improvement Project #08 -04 (Sealcoat and Crackfill of the streets in MSA Streets - Variolite St & Sunwood Dr) and, WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #08 -02 -033 on February 12, 2008, fixing a date for a Council public hearing on the proposed improvement. WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held on March 11t 2008, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and WHEREAS, the City has waited the required sixty (60) days following the public hearing. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed on May 13, 2008. 2) City Engineer Steve Jankowski is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an for bids upon the making of such improvement under such plans and specifications.
