<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig (arrived at 8:20 p.m.) <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurt Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Ass't Community Development Dir/HRA Executive Dir. Sylvia Frolik <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Assistant City Engineer Tim Himmer <br />Civil Engineer II Leonard Linton <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:06 p.m., <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler stated that Chad Hayft has successfully completed his fire fighter training <br />period. He stated that Mr. Hayft dealt with some tough personal issues this last year and was still <br />able to complete his training. He stated that this really showed his commitment to the department <br />and the communities the City serves. He stated that he feels Mr. Hayft will be a real asset to the <br />department. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to adopt Resolution #08- <br />04-070 ending the probationary period and granting status as a paid on-call fire Fighter to Chad <br />Hayft effective April 22, 2008. <br /> <br />City Council!
