delay. Talks with the owner are encouraging and there is still time to get this project complete
this year. It appears as if this site could need a significant storm water drainage system installed
to alleviate existing drainage concerns.

Miscellaneous

Town Center: Construction is underway for a hot plate banquet facility (Fountains of Ramsey)
on the bottom floor of the Ramsey Office Condo building. Including in the project is an outdoor
fountain and green area to the east of the building. City Staff has developed an inventory of
marketable land and buildings in Town Center and put a link to that information on the City's
web page. The City will be contacting the Solomon Group and PSD, LLC and other key
businesses to ask for assistance with the Buxton Proposal and to discuss how Ramsey can help
make a better business environment.

Coborn's Center to Rebrand: North Star Market Place is the new name for the Coborn's area.
Planning commission recommended approval of a sign for the development and it is waiting for
City Council approval on July 8th.

Additional Parcels Identified for Acquisition: The City now owns the KIH site. Dave Perkins
Contracting has expressed interest in purchasing a portion of the property for its existing
business. Staff is met with an appraiser in May and is getting a valuation of the parcel of
property Dave Perkins Contracting wants to purchase.

Hwv 471167th Commercial Node: Staff has contacted 5th Street Ventures (owners of property
across the street from old Super Valu) and has notified them that the EDA will be hosting a
meeting to discuss the business environment in Ramsey and requesting financial support for the
Buxton Proposal. It is apparent that this comer is not succeeding and. something needs to be
done to revitalize this neighborhood commercial node if it is to survive.

Monument Signs: Staff is still in the final stages of putting an implementation plan together for
----- ------the Monument-Signs.-Gennexus-has-pm:v-ided-the-City-with-some-calculations_regarding.nmning__
the electricity to the proposed sites in our Industrial Parks. Dennis Sharp has put together some
cost estimates for construction of the signs. There was a significant increase in cost due to the
full footings that the City requires for monument signs. Staff will attempt to get another quote
for the signs and will present a package for the July EDA meeting.

Future Meeting Topics:

1. Monument Signs Implementation Plan (July)
2. Housing type impact on economic development (July)

21
