Members Present: <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Member Absent: Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurt Ulrich <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />Asst. Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney Bill Goodrich <br />Management Intern Timothy Gladhill <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:40 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1) Code Enforcement <br />Police Chief Way distributed three articles from the Star and Tribune about increased code <br />enforcement in other metro cities. He also distributed information regarding abatement for <br />Ramsey, beginning in September 2007. <br />Mayor Gamec asked about the fees for long grass abatement. <br />Police Chief Way stated that the fees are the costs to actually mow the grass, which depended on <br />the size of the yard. <br />Mayor Gamec confirmed that the fees listed reflected labor costs. <br />City Council Work Session / June 3, 2008 <br />Page 1 of 16 <br />
