<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 07-12-325 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO NOT WAIVE STATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR LMCIT LIABILITY <br />COVERAGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, city staffhas reviewed the impact of waiving and not-waiving statutory tort limits <br />for liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been past practice for the City of Ramsey to not waive the statutory tort limit <br />for liability coverage withLMCIT; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff is recommending that the City Council not waive the statutory tort limits for <br />liability insurance with LMCIT. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does not waive the statutory tort limits for LMCIT <br />liability coverage. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption ofthe foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Look, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />11 th day of December, 2007. <br /> <br /> <br />
