<br />Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br />April 2008 <br /> <br />Crime Prevention <br /> <br />1. Bike Helmet Clinics - Held/sponsored by Connexus and Safe Kids Anoka County. Bell <br />Helmets were available for sale for $10 each. Safe Kids Anoka County - General meeting to discuss bike and car seat clinics and <br />staffing. General overview of monthly activities, budget and approval of purchases. <br /> <br />3. Car Seat Checks - Did one individual car seat check at the PD. <br /> <br />4. MN Juvenile Officers Association Meeting - Discussion on the annual conference in <br />January to include speakers, fees, confirmation of location and staffing roles. <br /> <br />5. Safety Camp Meeting & Prep - Flyers were created and distributed to all the located <br />elementary schools for safety camp. Website was updated and camp registration forms <br />are available on the web. Sponsorship letters were sent to past sponsors. Interview with <br />Union Newspaper for safety camp article (04/25 edition). <br /> <br />6. Business Registration Certificates - Certificates were mailed to all businesses in the <br />city that are in compliance with the city ordinance. They must be posted in a visible <br />location at each business. New business lists were created and sent to police, fire, <br />dispatch, and the city (for the web). Second notices went out to those businesses who <br />have not responded. Citations will be sent out in May for those that are still not in <br />compliance.
