Chris Sodefi~olm, Water Control Corporation, 7150 - 143rd Avenue N.W. stated they built in the
City of Ram~ey '[2 years ago and at that time there were very strict requirements. He saw this as
positive and ~dlt;ihat these standards would apply to all businesses wishing to locate in the City.
Since then,~e f~els Ramsey has become a dumping ground for undesirable businesses. The
residential d4vel~pment has really shown promise with the golf courses, high-end housing, good
quality builgl~rs, gtc., and he feels there is now an opportunity for good commercial development
as well. H{ i~tat*d that if the conditional use permit for Bury and Carlson, Inc. is approved and
Ramsey end~ uPlwith this business taking up most of the Industrial Park area with stockpiles of
rubble, the ',changes of nice quality businesses moving in next to that type of development are
slight. He ~][t thitt the City has to decide if that's the kind of development it wants or if it wants an
upscale ind~i~M park. He added he hopes the City feels the same way he does.
Wayne Johnson,'Commercial/Industrial Realtor, stated that he represents Mr. Don Greenberg's
sale of this P~ope~ty to Bury and Carlson and that he understands Mr. Soderholm's concerns. He
stated he is O~l th~l~conomic Developm, ent Commission for the City of Anoka and that Anoka has a
vast amount 4f i~dustrial land that they ye wanted upscale businesses to move into also; however,
that hasn't happened.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by COmmissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to adjourn the public
hearing.

Motion carriexl.
