That Upon installation of the street lighting fixture on Nowthen <br />Blvd. ~t 150th lane NW. it was noted that the fixture was not of <br />the specification selected by the Planning commission and <br />recom~nded to the C~ty Council and also selected by them as part <br />of the !street lighting policy. <br /> <br />That this policy was establish after much debate, and a citizen <br />response Survey, and the results of that survey were. "That most <br />citizens ~f Ramsey wanted some form of street lighting, and that <br />most c~tizens of Ramsey did not want to see street lights." <br /> <br />That a demonstration of the different specifications did take <br />place ~t AEC's expense. <br /> <br />That t~e Horizontal deflection type fixture was selected. <br /> <br />That o~ more that one occasion the City Engineer was questioned <br />by thisl PLanning Commissioner about the incorrect specification <br />used at~ the noted location. <br /> <br />That tih~ Planning Commission requested a response from the City <br />Enginee~ When a Second fixture of incorrect specification was <br />installed'at Industrial BLVD and Dysprosium st. intersection at a <br />developers expense as a result of the adopted lighting policy. <br /> <br />That t~ City Engineer did not respond to the Planning Commission <br />verbally Or in writing prior to Reg July meeting. <br /> <br />That th~ WOOD PONDS Project now has 14 lighting fixtures, of <br />which 9i a~e required by the light policy, and all fixtures are of <br />design and specification that is incorrect. <br /> <br />That th~se lighting fixtures do not meet the City's glare <br />standards as stated in zoning ordinances. <br /> <br />That on'April 28, 1992 Knowing that the fixture specification was <br />in question, did not mention this fact to City council, when <br />action ~as being taken to install Lights in the WOOD POND <br />PROJECTS. <br /> <br /> <br />
