Motion by ~_x~ssioner Terry and seconded by Commissioner Holland to amend #16 to read <br />"The outsido Storage of inoperable vehicles shall be limited to 15 vehicles and trailers, or parts <br />thereof". <br /> <br />Amendment !!~ Commissioner Deemer and seconded, for discussion, by Commissioner Terry to <br />limit the amount of vehicles to 10 as opposed to 15. <br /> <br />Amendment failed. Absent: Commissioner Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review for Danny's Aluminum Processing, <br />Inc.; Case of Mr. Dan Karst <br /> <br />Zoning Admiaistrator Frolik stated that Mr. Dan Karst has applied for site plan review to construct <br />a 13,000 squge f'.~. t building on Lots 2 and 3, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Plat//2. The <br />purpose of th~ btlilding is to provide additional indoor space for the preparation of feedstock, <br />including thc ~isassembly of engines and transmissions, and indoor storage area for other types of <br />metals prop0s~xt tO be received at the facility. To address screening and landscaping, Mr. Karst is <br />proposing a !l~} fobt high wood and metal fence bordered by Black Hills Spruce trees adjacent to <br />Basalt Street N.W. The site plan indicates providing for 11 off-street parking spaces, which is in <br />compliance .W[~th City Code requirements. All driveways, maneuvering areas and off-street parking <br />areas would be paved and curbed. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission proceeded to review the City Staff letter dated August 27, <br />1992. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to recommend that City <br />Council gra~sito plan approval to Mr. Karst's proposal for a structure on Lots 2 and 3, Block 4, <br /> : Planning and Zoning Commission/September 1, 1992 <br /> Page 9 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
