<br />CASE # I <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A PRIVATE DOG KENNEL TO <br />MAINTAIN FOUR OR MORE DOGS ON A PARCEL; <br />CASE OF LYNETTE AND DAVID RANDALL <br />By: Tim Gladhill, Associate Planner <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On May 29, 2008, the City received an application from Lynette and David Randall for a private <br />kennel conditIonal use permit to maintain a maximum of five dogs on the property at 7960 l71st <br />Lane NW. . City Code allows for a maximum ofthree dogs per parcel; four or more dogs requires <br />a Conditional Use Permit. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) Site location map <br />b) Request submitted by Applicants <br />c) Proposed findings of fact <br />d) Proposed conditional use permit <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />In accordance with State Statute, staff attempted to notify all property owners within 350 feet of <br />the subj ect property of the request. . <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The subject property is approximately 2.27 acres and is zoned R-l Rural Developing. The <br />Applicant has requested a Conditional Use Permit to allow for five dogs on the Subject Property. <br />These dogs currently reside on the property and consist of one lab/Dalmatian mix, one Shih Tzu, <br />one Terrier, and two Dachshunds. The applicants have stated that all of these animals are rescued <br />animals and all reside within the home; none of the animals are housed outside. Furthermore, the <br />applicant has stated that all are neutered, licensed, and current on all vaccinations. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City staff recommends approval oftlie Conditional Use Permit. . <br /> <br />Funding Source: <br /> <br />All costs associated with processing the application are the responsibility of the applicant. <br /> <br />1 <br />
