Voting No: None. <br />Case #!i~i Review of Transportation Plans <br />Commi~${on~ Hendriksen stated he thought Planning and Zoning Commission's direction <br />to City lil~aff.~as to bring the review of transportation plans to City Council for a public <br />hearing.; I <br />City Engi~ee~Jankowski suggested that the Planning and Zoning Commission must look at <br />the plan~ ~rot~ose alternatives, request comments from transportation agencies and then <br />have a p~ ~lie'ihearing. <br />Commi~.on,.~ Hendriksen expressed his resentment that he s been trying to get a public <br />hearingO~ th~ plan for a long time and stated this plan has never been made public. <br /> <br />Ms. Fr01tk l!.tated there has been so many different motions made regarding the <br />transpo~io~plan, she thought it best if the Planning and Zoning Commission discuss it <br />first witla he l~ity Engineer. <br /> <br />Commi~on~r Hendriksen stated there was a transportation plan based on former <br />Commuh~y li)evelopment Director Mark Banwart's concept. He stated Mr. Banwart's <br />plans w~r{ mtgte a part of Anoka County plans and the citizens of the City of Ramsey don't <br />even kno~ w,l). at was proposed. <br />A lengt~ discussion ensued. Commissioner Hendriksen stated he wants the City of <br />Ramsey !~ql sti~te its opinion, he does not want the State or the County to proceed on just <br />Mr. Ban~tart'~ ideas. <br />Motion DS' Cdgnmissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to take the last <br />compre .~itsiV'e transportation plan, dated January 26, 1989, make minor modifications to <br />indicate ~[;e r~]er crossing corridor and change County Road #116 back to the proposed <br />alignme¢[Pre~ious to the airport expansion plan. Send this to City Council with a request <br />for review and a public hearing. <br /> <br />Morion ¢~rn~d.
