Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption; <br />RESOLUTION #08-07-.7CXX <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM <br />DESIGNATIONS AND COLLECTOR ROAD SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for <br />a system or arterial and Collector thoroughfare; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid System <br />(MSAS) under Chapter 162 of the State Statutes which promotes the construction and <br />maintenance of such an arterial and collector system; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest or the City of .Ramsey to modify the designated <br />MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; and <br />WHEREAS, a City Council resolution followed by an order from the Commissioner of <br />Transportation is required when revising a nonexistent segment aligrunent onto an existing <br />roadway. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />, That the following described MSAS segrnent be revoked . from the system; <br />• Part of lvISAS 101 The non existing route from 175th Ave and Peridot Street (3rid <br />name location) to CSAH 5 and Green Valley Road. <br />• Part of MSAS 102 166th Avenue (Non existing) from Variolite St to Jasper St. NW <br />and 167th Ave. NW <br />• MSAS 118 'McKinley Street and Feldspar (Noll existing) from McKinley Street to <br />Sunwood Drive <br />2. That the following MSAS segnents be added to the system; • <br />• 175th Ave. NW — Peridot Street (grid name location) to CSAH <br />• 166th Ave, (non existing) from Variolite and 165th .Lane to Quartz Street; and 166th <br />Ave, from Quartz Ave. to Jasper Street; and Jasper Street from 166th to 1(57 Ave. <br />• McKinley St. from Sunfish Lake Blvd, to jaspar Street Jasper Street from McKinley <br />Street to Sunwood Drive. <br />RESOLUTION 08-07-XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />ta <br />-101- <br />
