ADOPT ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 <br />WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE LICENSING AND PERMITS CHAPTER OF THE <br />CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br />By: Jo Thieling, City Clerk <br />Background: <br />Council introduced an ordinance at their regular meeting of June 24, 2008, deleting portions of <br />Chapter 7 dealing with licensing. The reasons for the deletions were the type of business was <br />either obsolete, or it had been determined by staff that an extra license fee for that type of <br />business could not be justified. The following types of licensing were listed: Bowling Alley, <br />Billiards, Cigarette Sales (moved to a different section), Drive in Theaters, Golf Courses and <br />Driving Ranges, Amusement Centers, and Solid Waste Depositing Fee. <br />This ordinance is now being presented for formal adoption. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to waive the reading of the ordinance amending Chapter 7 of the City Code of Ramsey, <br />Minnesota <br />- and - <br />CASE # I <br />vc. cd- <br />Motion to adopt Ordinance #08 -XX amending Chapter 7, which is known as the licensing and <br />permits chapter of the City Code of Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Clerk <br />Police Chief <br />Community Development Director <br />Assistant Community Development Director <br />City Attorney <br />Acting City Administrator <br />CC: 07/08/08 <br />
