Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br />May 2008 <br />Crime Prevention <br />1. Northwest Anoka County Community Consortium (NWACCC) Board Meeting — <br />Review monthly activities, staffing considerations and financial reports for Youth First <br />Community of Promise. <br />2. Safety Camp Planning <br />3. Annual Ramsey Car Seat Clinic — Sponsored and staffed by Safe Kid's Anoka County <br />members (Ramsey Police, Blaine Police, Coon Rapids Police, Fridley Fire & Police, <br />Anoka County Sheriffs Office, Mercy/Unity Hospital, Anoka County Public Health, <br />Spring Lake Park/Blaine/Mounds View Fire) Twenty-eight (28) car seats inspected, 83% <br />misuse (seats that were installed incorrectly when they arrived). Five new seats were <br />distributed to low income families. <br />4. Bike Helmet Clinic — Coon Rapids Fire Dept. Sponsored and staffed by Safe Kid's <br />Anoka County members. <br />5. Safe Kids Anoka County Membership Meeting — General meeting to discuss bike and <br />car seat clinics and staffing. General overview of monthly activities, budget and approval <br />of purchases, <br />6. CPS Technician Continuing Education Workshop — For CEU's for maintaining Child <br />Passenger Safety Technician/Instructor certification <br />7. MN Juvenile Officers Association — Speaker communication/contracts for annual <br />conference in January. <br />8. Business Registration Certificates — Certificates were mailed to all businesses in the <br />city that are in compliance with the city ordinance. Second notices went out to those <br />businesses who have not responded. <br />Thirteen (13) citations were sent out to those that are still not in compliance: AITOW <br />Components Corp, Da B000kstore, Earth First Computer Recycling, Rivers Bend Family <br />Dental, Universal Recreation, Auto Magicians, Destination Builders, Peck Construction, <br />Service Team of Professionals, Victory Motors, Commercial Copy Services, DPM <br />Investments, Ramsey Market <br />
