• INTRODUCE ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 7 OF CITY CODE, <br />SECTION 7.51, POSSESSION, SALE AND CONSUMPTION OF' INTOXICATING AND <br />3.2 PERCENT MALT LIQUORS WITHIN THE CITY OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br />By: Jim Way, Police Chief <br />Background: <br />At the June 3, 2008 City Council Work Session, staff discussed a two-tier fee structure for "Off <br />Sale" liquor establishments that choose to use Age Verification Technology. Staff reviewed <br />incentives that would be provided to establishments that meet performance requirements as <br />stated in 7.51.09, Subd.6. <br />The fee would be established in the Annual Rates and Fees Schedule. Staff is recommending a <br />$ 100 reduction in the fee for "Off Sale" establishments that meet the requirements established in <br />the amended ordinance. <br />• Attachments; <br />Section 7.51 of the City Code and a proposed Ordinance to amend City Code Section 7.51 <br />Regulating the Possession, Sale and Consumption of Intoxicating and 3.2 Percent Malt Liquor. <br />Funding Source: <br />None Required <br />Council Action: <br />Consent # 8 <br />Motion to introduce ordinance 08-XXX amending Chapter 7, Section 7.51 of City Code, <br />Possession, Sale and Consumption of Intoxicating and 3.2 Percent Malt Liquors within the City <br />of Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Reviewed by: <br />Police Chief <br />City Clerk <br />City Attorney <br />City Administrator <br />CC: 07/08/08 <br />
