<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-06-109 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A POST EMPLOYMENT HEAL TH CARE <br />SAVINGS PLAN FOR NON-UNION EMPLOYEES AND APPOINTING A THIRD <br />PARTY ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that health care costs are increasing; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is committed to offering plans to assist employees in <br />managing health care expenses, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the impacted employees have requested and approved the post- <br />employment health care savings plan provisions being presented to the City Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby confirms the recommendation of the Personnel <br />Committee and approves the following: <br />· appoint MSRS as the City's post-employment health care savings plan <br />administrator. <br />· adopt the health care savings plan provisions indicated in the table below effective <br />July 15,2008 for non-union employees and update the Personnel Policy. <br /> <br />Benefit PERA Coordinated Plan PERA Police &Fire <br /> Members Members <br />Sick Leave 50% @ 10 years of service, and 100% if hired prior to 1-1-08 <br /> 75% @ 15 years of service <br />Salary NA 2% if hired prior to 1-1-89 <br /> . 1 % if hired after 1-1-89 <br />Vacation NA 50% if hired prior to 1-1-95 <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Look, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Resolution #08-06-109 <br />
