All helmets com- <br />ply with US CPSC safety standards. <br />If you already own a helmet, we will <br />fit it for free. No appointment neces- <br />sary. If so, there are <br />lots of opportunities available for <br />first-time homebuyers! The Min- <br />nesota Housing Finance Agency <br />(MHFA) is offering low-interest, <br />fixed-rate mortgage loans. Contact a <br />MHFA-approved lender to apply for <br />the First-Time Homebuyer Program. <br />This year's program will run from <br />April 14 through December 14,2008. <br />Any funds remaining after October <br /> <br />14 will be placed in a state-wide pool <br />and allocated on a first come basis. <br />Also, both MHFA and Anoka County <br />Community Action Program (AC- <br />CAP) have down payment assistance <br />programs for qualified buyers. <br />Some basic eligibility re- <br />quirements for the First-Time Home- <br />buyer Program are: <br />1 ) You must not have owned a <br />home within the last 3 years <br />2) You must have federal in- <br />come tax returns for the last 3 <br />years <br />3) You must have acceptable <br />credi t <br />4 ) You must meet requirements <br /> <br />for income and home pur- <br />chase price limits (example: <br />combined gross income not to <br />exceed $64,800 for a house- <br />hold of 1-4 persons; maxi- <br />mum home purchase price of <br />$298,125; amounts are subject <br />to change) . <br />If you are interested in receiv- <br />ing a First-Time Homebuyer informa- <br />tion packet by mail, contact 651-296- <br />8215 or 800-710-8871 or visit their <br />website at www.mnhousing.gov.
