Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson LaMere, Vice-Chair Deemer, Commissioners Frederick, Bergfalk, Cleveland, McKinney and Sherman. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Erickson and Simenson. Motion by Commissioner Deemer, seconded by Commissioner Frederick, to recommend to the City Council the adoption of Ordinance #2008-_, Amendment to Chapters 2 and 4 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Ramsey, as amended by the Charter Commission on April 17, 2008, and -June 12, 2008, and to recommend that the City Council unanimously adopt the Ordinance in -order to amend the Home Rule Charter accordingly. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson LaMere, Vice-Chair Deemer, Commissioners Frederick, Bergfalk, Cleveland, McKinney, and Sherman. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Erickson and Simenson. Commissioner Cleveland left the meeting at 7:13 p.m. COMMISSION INPUT Case #1: Set Charter Agenda and Schedule Date(s) for next Meeting(s) City Attorney Goodrich stated the Gharter Commission's next meeting can be scheduled for November or December; if another meeting is needed before then, the Chair can call a special meeting. He stated alternatively, if the Council does not unanimously approve the Charter amendments, the Commission could wait until January 2009 to meet and present the proposed amendments to the Council at that time. Chairperson LaMere suggested holding the next Charter Commission meeting date open depending on the City Council's vote on the proposed Charter amendments. There was consensus to tentatively schedule the next Charter Commission :meeting for January 15, 2009 unless an earlier meeting date is required and called by the Chair.
