CASE # <br />REQUEST FOR VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS <br />IN KNOLL PROPERTIES ADDITION; <br />CASE OF ANDERSON DAHLEN, INC. <br />By: Tim GladhiIl <br />Background: <br />Anderson Dahlen has applied for a minor subdivision to accommodate a proposed expansion of their <br />existing manufacturing facility. A portion of the existing drainage and utility easement needs to be <br />vacated in order to accommodate the proposed expansion. <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br />a) .Site location map <br />b) .Knoll Properties Addition <br />c) Exhibit of underlying easements to be vacated <br />d) Proposed ordinance. <br />Notification: <br />In accordance with State Statute, City Staff attempted to notify property owners within 350 feet of the <br />subject property of the public hearing to vacate easements. <br />Observations: <br />The applicant is requesting that all the drainage and utility. easements on Outlot A, AEC Energy Park 4th. <br />Addition be vacated. The applicant is proposing to vacate the entire drainage and utility easement and <br />rededicate the necessary drainage and utility easement as part of the proposed Knoll Properties plat. <br />Vacation of this easement is contingent upon approval of the proposed Knoll Properties plat. <br />The Engineering Department has reviewed the request and recommends approval of the request. <br />Funding Source: <br />All costs associated with processing the application for easement vacation are the responsibility of the <br />applicant. <br />Recommendation: <br />City Staff recommends introduction of the ordinance to vacate the drainage and utility easements within <br />Outlot A, AEC Energy Park 4th Addition. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to waive City Charter requirement to read ordinance aloud; <br />- and- <br />Motion to adopt Ordinance #08- to vacate the drainage and utility easements within Outlot A, AEC <br />Energy Park 4th Addition. <br />-111- <br />
