Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #08-07-x:XX <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 5 OF CITY <br />CODE ADDING SECTION 22, SOCIAL HOST LIABILITY <br />WHEREAS, at the July 8, 2008 regular City Council meeting, staff introduced an <br />ordinance to hold. the "host" responsible for events and gatherings where underage <br />persons are consuming or possessing alcohol. <br />WHEREAS, staff made minor revisions to the ordinance and the revised <br />ordinance is now being presented for final adoption. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt Ordinance #08-XX amending Chapter 5 of City Code, Section 22. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by, <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 22°d day of July, 2008. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />-139- <br />
