Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #08-07-XXX ' <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 7 OF <br />THE CITY CODE TO INCLUDE AGE VERIFICATION FOR LIQUOR <br />ESTABLISHMENTS <br />WHERAS, City Council introduced an ordinance at their regular meeting July 8, <br />2008, dealing with the provisions of Chapter 7.51.09, License Fees. A two-tier fee <br />structure was. introduced for "Off Sale" liquor establishments that choose to use Age <br />Verification Technology. <br />WHEREAS, the fee would be established in the annual Schedule.of Rates, Fees, <br />and Charges. Staff recommended a $100 reduction in the fee for "Off Sale" <br />establishments that meet the requirements established in the amended ordinance. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to Adopt Ordinance #08-XX amending Chapter 7 of City Code, which is <br />known as the licensing and permits chapter of the City Code of Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by, <br />Councilmember and upon vote .being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />.and the following were absent: <br />-152- <br />
