Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #08-07-XXX <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 08-35 EAST RAMSEY <br />PARKWAY BITUMINOUS WEAR COURSE <br />WHEREAS, on June 24, 2008 the Ramsey City Council authorized the solicitation of <br />bids from plans prepared by staff; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 08-35, East <br />Ramsey Parkway Bituminous Wear Course, bids were received, opened and tabulated according <br />to law; and <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the bids that were received: <br />Bidder Bid <br />Contractor Bid <br />Hardrives, Inc. 122,274.95 <br />North Valley, Inc 123,944.45 <br />Knife River 125,885.93 <br />ASTECH 134,735.50 <br />W B Miller, Inc. 149,585.50 <br />WHEREAS, Hardrives, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />.NOW THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE-CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />agreement with Hardrives, Inc.. for Improvement Project 08-35, East Ramsey Parkway <br />Bituminous Wear Course in the amount of $ 122,274.95; and <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: ', <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 22`h day of Julyl 2008. <br />RESOLUTION #08-07-XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />-243- <br />
