<br />Further Discussion: Mayor Gamec asked if there should be language included that if a developer <br />gets the sidewalk dirty that they are responsible for cleaning them up. City Attorney Goodrich <br />stated that this language can be included. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Elvig, Dehen, Jeffrey, <br />Look, and Olson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Consider Resolution of 160th Lane Issues <br /> <br />This item was postponed to the July 22, 2008 meeting by request of the applicant. <br /> <br />No action taken. <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Consider Appointments for Grant Evaluations and Ranking System <br />(GEARS) Committee <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that there are two opportunities to serve the community with the <br />new county-wide tax to be used for transit. He stated that there is an opening for a delegate voter <br />at a July 21, 200S meeting and an applicant for the GEARS Committee, which would be <br />ongoing. He stated that there will only be one member from the County appointed and the <br />deadline for application is July 14,2008. He noted that page 200 in the Council packet outlines <br />the process for this Committee. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he would volunteer to be the delegate voter. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he would volunteer to submit his name for the applicant for the <br />County representative for the GEARS Committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to appoint Mayor Gamec <br />as a delegate voter for the GEARS elections and to recommend Councilmember Elvig as an <br />applicant for the GEARS Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Look, Jeffrey, Dehen, Elvig, <br />Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Consider Confirmation of Directions Given in Closed Session <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that an earlier Special City Council meeting, the Council <br />. discussed the 5A Partnership I vs. City of Ramsey. He stated that there was an early mediation <br />session held in which a proposed settlement was recommended. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to adopt the <br />mediation settlement agreement dated July 2, 2008, whereby the City and League of Minnesota <br />Cities would pay to plaintiff $40,000 to fully settle 5A Partnership I vs. City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />City Council!
