Although a great many of these issues wer y <br />blog allowed for a freer discussion of them than had formerly been possible. <br />The Forums <br />the s rin of 2007, the City of Ramsey hosted a series of fouh~ four nation experts tordis uo snd <br />In p g <br />critical issues facing Ramsey and the region. The forums broug <br />Re Tonal Intersections, Community Ecology, Innovative Zoning, and Transportation Alternatives. The <br />g <br />ci was also quite successful in attracting cosponsors from around the Twin Cities region to help <br />ty <br />publicize the' events and increase regional capacity. <br />3 ublicized these events through the web site, through the community newsletter; through <br />Ramsey p wide mailing. The speakers <br />appearances by city staff and offs backat ound materiags~forthte forums that was posted on the web site. <br />also provided an extensive list o ~' <br />ch forum attracted approximately 50 people, who ranged fromially comm ing to see particip tioln from. <br />Ea <br />that had not previously been engaged in city affairs. It was espec y gr' <br />residents, officials, and policy makers from communities in Sherburne, Hennepin, and Anoka Counties. <br />Background discussions with all the speakers stressed ten exchange of ideasobetween experts and the <br />events, for the proposal envisioned the forums as an op <br />ublic.
