Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #08-06-101 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY'S RATES AND CHARGES BY ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE HOME OCCUPATION PERMITS AND REQUESTS FOR ADMINISTRATIVE APPEALS WHEREAS, on May 13, 2008, the City of Ramsey amended Ramsey City Code Chapter 9 (Zoning and Subdivision of Land), Section 9.11.04 Home Occupations, delegating authority to City Staff to review and approve certain types of home occupations administratively; and WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the official list of Rates and Fees to include a permit fee for Home Occupation Permits issued administratively; and WHEREAS, that Section 9.03.09 (Administrative Appeals) provides the opportunity for persons that dispute City Staff s interpretation of City Code to apply for an Administrative Appeal at the Board of Appeals and that City Council shall act as the Board of Appeals; and WHEREAS, the official City's official list of Rates and Charges does not establish a fee for request for Administrative Appeals. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the City of Ramsey hereby amends the official list of Rates and Charges, as adopted by City Council on November 27, 2007, to include the following fees: a) Administrative Home Occupation Permit - $200.00 b) Administrative Appeal- $100.00 The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Strommen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Strommen Councilmember Dehen Councilmember Jeffrey Councilmember Look Councilmember Olson and the following voted against the same: None
