<br />Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-06-114 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0827 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM RONALD BORELL FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO <br />EXCEED THE MAXIMUM ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SPACE REQUIREMENTS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ronald and Sandy Borell, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant," has <br />properly applied for a Conditional Use Permit to exceed the maximum accessory structure space <br />restrictions on the property generally known as 8148 155th Lane NW and legllIly described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Lot 4, Block 1, The North Forty 3rd Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />("Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on June 5, 2008, and that said public hearing was <br />properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by <br />reference. <br /> <br />2. That the Subject Property is approximately 2.3 acres in size. <br /> <br />3. That Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses), allows up to three accessory buildings not exceeding <br />a total of2,200 square feet on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />4. That there is a 830 square foot attached garage and a 240 square foot accessory structure <br />currently existing on the property for a total of 1,070 square feet of accessory structure space. <br /> <br />5. That the Subject Property is eligible for an additional 1,130 square feet of accessory structure <br />space. <br /> <br />6. That the Applicant is proposing to add an accessory structure measuring 1,700 square feet to <br />the Subject Property, which will result in a 570 square foot overage in the amount of <br />accessory structure space permitted. <br /> <br />7. That the Applicant has stated the proposed accessory structure is needed for safety reasons <br />due to recent increases of vandalism and theft in the area by allowing for additional indoor <br />storage of equipment as well as additional space for projects. <br /> <br />8. That the Applicants have stated that the accessory building will be for storage of a boat, <br />camper, three vehicles, fish house, lawn mower with bagger, snow blower, trailer, wheel <br />barrow, deck furniture in the winter, bicycles, and an antique vehicle. <br />
