<br />Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br />June 2008 <br /> <br />General Police Statistics and Hiehliehts <br /> <br />· Burglaries <br /> <br />On June I S\ Ralphs Gun and Pawn was burglarized. Anoka County Sheriffs Crime Lab <br />obtained several pieces of physical evidence from the scene. fuvestigators developed <br />suspect information and completed juvenile contact reports charging three juveniles with <br />the 3rd Degree burglary. <br /> <br />On June 30th, officers responded to a burglar alarm at Da Boookstore. Officers found the <br />business had been forcibly entered. Officers arrested a male they found inside the <br />business. Investigators interviewed the suspect and completed a felony case file for <br />charges of 2nd degree burglary. . . <br /> <br />· Attempted Copper Theft <br /> <br />On June 25th, a caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the 6200 block of McKinley 8t <br />NW. Responding Officers located and arrested two suspects attempting to steal spools of <br />copper wiring from a construction site on the BNSF (railroad) property. Investigators <br />interviewed the suspects and completed felony case files for felony theft charges. <br /> <br />· Stolen Vehicle Recovery <br /> <br />On June 26th, officers located ajuvenile in possession of a stolen motor vehicle in the <br />wayside rest area. The juvenile was detained and admitted to investigators the vehicle <br />had been stolen from Burnsville. The juvenile was charged with possession of a stolen <br />motor vehicle and pled guilty to that charge. <br /> <br />· Level 3 Predatory Offender <br /> <br />Staff spent several hours preparing for a Level 3 Predatory Offender's move into <br />Ramsey, along with a Community Notification Meeting. Staff was notified that the <br />predatory offender would not be moving into the City at this time, and the community <br />notification was postponed. <br /> <br />· Animal Control <br /> <br />Seven dogs were lodged at the Anoka Impound Facility in June.
