A total of 15 bids <br />were received, which ranged from $262,276.74 to $368,739.75. The three low bids and the <br />Engineer's Estimate for the project were as follows: <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR <br />Erin Contracting, Inc. <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. <br />Kober Excavating, Inc. <br /> <br />BID AMOUNT <br />$262,276.74 <br />$275,082.10 <br />$278,990.39 <br /> <br />$274,476.00 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />In comparing the low bid to the Engineer's Estimate, the low bid is approximately 4.5 percent below <br />the Engineer's Estimate. <br /> <br />Erin Contracting, Inc. is a Coon Rapids, Minnesota contractor, and has satisfactorily completed <br />similar projects in the area.
