The open houses will provide information to residents regarding al-
ternative land use scenarios being considered for the 2008 Comprehensive
Plan.
The city has completed multiple planning sessions using an innovative
process called Open Space Technology, where residents expressed their
opinions and beliefs about the future of Ramsey and its development. Par-
allel with that process, the Ramsey3 initiative worked with citizens to draft
a vision and values statement for the city. As a culmination of working
with many residents over these past 16 months, the city is now preparing to
present three (3) land use alternatives to the community for comment and
feedback. The land use scenario selected by the City Council will serve as
the basis for the 2008 Comprehensive Plan.
In order to gain as much feedback as possible from residents, the
city is mak:ing plans to present the land use scenarios on two (2) different
nights in two (2) different locations in the community. The city is tenta-
tively looking at Monday, September 8 and Wednesday, September 10.
These dates are tentative and the locations have not been finalized. How-
ever, the city will be mailing post cards to all residents confirming dates,
times and locations for these open houses. The information will also be
posted on the city's website at www.ci.ramsey.mn.us/compplan.

Remember to Vote in the
Primary Election

The Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2008.
All polling places are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. See polling infor-
mation and map on page 5.
