Lano Equipment is a fam- ily owned business celebrating its 62nd year in business. Lano has been located in the City of Ramsey for 18 years serving residential and commercial customers with knowledge and expertise on equipment. With three (3) stores covering the complete metro area in Shakopee, Corcoran and Ramsey, no job is too big or small for the Bobcat, Kubota, Doosan and Felling trailer lines that they carry. Lano is a complete equipment store that sells, services, and rent equipment to homeowners for use in backyards and to the largest of contractors for work on roads and bridges. EQUIPM~!iI-,-_~NC./ Established 1946 Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is Looking for Ramsey Residents! As you may know, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity (TCHFH) is building 32 townhomes in the city of Ramsey to sell to eligible families through our homeownership program. The first 8-unit building is completed, the second 8-unit building is under construction, and the next two builds will take place in 2009 and 2010. TCHFH provides an 11 course training curriculum for all Habitat homebuyers. In addition, we also facilitate a mentorship program for all new homeowners. The Neighbor- hood Family Partner (NFP) Program matches volunteers with Habitat families to assist them in their transi- tion from homebuyers to successful homeowners and engaged citizens. We are currently lool(ing for Ramsey residents to volunteer in this capacity! We are lool(ing for Ramsey resi- dents who have an: Interest in collaborating with a group of volunteers lead by a community coordinator to sup- port a new group of TCHFH homeowners Understanding of basic home maintenance and community resources Desire to mentor a new home- owner through the responsibilities of a new home Appreciation for people with a different culture, language or family structure The support of a neighbor is essential to a first-time homeowner successfully integrating into a new home and new community. Volun- teers in this capacity will be rewarded by observing their Habitat partner family enjoying their new home and community. Volunteers will also gain the benefits of forming a relationship that will allow for mutual sharing and learning.
