<br />CASE # I <br /> <br />ADOPT ORDINANCE TO VACATE DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS <br />IN TC TRAIL; <br />CASE OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />By: Tim Gladhill, Associate Planner <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has engaged the services of Hakanson Anderson, Associates, Inc. to assist with re- <br />platting of two lots within the Sunfish Lake Business Park. As part oithat process, underlying easements <br />from the previous Lot 4a, Sunfish Lake Business Park and Lot 1, Block 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park <br />2nd Addition, need to be vacated as a result of the lot re-configuration. The final plat for TC Trail was <br />approved on August 12,2008. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) Site location map <br />b) Te Trail <br />c) Exhibit of underlying easements to be vacated <br />d) . Proposed ordinance <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />In accordance with State Statute, City Staff attempted to notify property owners within 350 feet of the <br />subject property of the public hearing to vacate easements. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting that certain drainage and utility easements on TC Trail be vacated. Vacation <br />of these easements is necessary to accommodate a building pad for Panther Precision. These easements <br />are remnants of the former, underlying plats prior to the TC Trail subdivision. <br /> <br />The city's Engineering Department has reviewed the request and recommends approval of the request. <br /> <br />Funding Source: <br /> <br />. All costs associated with vacating the drainage and utility easements are handled through the TIP <br />Agreement with C.T.T. Properties, LLC. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends adoption of the ordinance to vacate certain drainage and utility easements within <br />TC Trail. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to waive City Charter requirement to read ordinance aloud; <br /> <br />- and- <br />
