The following is a brief summary of actions taken in August that may be of <br />interest to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />Ebony Woods. City Council approved an amendment to the Development Agreement for Ebony Woods. <br />It was -discovered that the subject property was originally assessed sewer and water as a commercial <br />property and no commercial development occurred on the property. The property was subsequently <br />rezoned as a residential parcel and subdivided into three separate lots. The net difference between three <br />residential assessments for sewer and water and one commercial assessment is to be credited to the. <br />applicant. <br /> <br />TC Trail. City Council approved the fmal plat for TC Trail for the Panther Precision expansion. The plat <br />has been recorded and City Council has introduced an ordinance to vacate the underlying easements <br />created by the previous plat. A business subsidy agreement was completed with C.T.T. Properties for the <br />sale of Lot 1, Block 1, TC Trail to Panther Precision. <br /> <br />Panther Precision Site Plan. City Council approved the sit~ plan for Panther Precision's second facility, <br />adjacent to the existing facility on Sunwood Drive. A building permit has been approved for the project <br />and work has started on construction of the facility. <br /> <br />Cell Tower ordinance. City Council adopted the ordinance to amend City Code Section 9.15 Towers. <br /> <br />Sign Ordinance. City Council adopted the ordinance to amend City Code Section 9.12 Signs regarding <br />dyna.rp.ic display. <br /> <br />Sunfish Lake Blvd reconstruction update. Anoka County attended the August 26, 2008 City Council <br />meeting to provide.an update on the upcoming reconstruction of Sunfish Lake Blvd. Construc.tionis set <br />to begin on September 15,2008. Sunfish Lake Blvd. will be closed to traffic at the railroad crossing for - <br />six weeks, pendfug any unforeseen delays. Access to business south of the railroad tracks will be <br />maintained throughout the process. As the Commission is aware, at the joint meeting with the Council on <br />August 12, 2008 Staffwas instructed to revisit the process for preparation of the land use scenarios. City <br />Staff met with Bonestrbo on August 20th to discuss possible options for completing the comprehensive <br />plan while addressing the role of the public in the process. There are a couple of overarching issues that <br />need to be addressed in order to proceed. One of which is the role of the Metropolitan Council <br />requirements in the process.
